Who is Funky Little Fella? Funky Little Fella was launched in late 2011 so that people looking for cool, funky and classic clothes for the little fellas in their lives could find it all in one place online. It’s a gorgeous, easy to use website filled with fabulous clothes for boys from 0-8 years old.

What can we expect to see in boys fashion this coming season? Winter is seeing lots of beautiful quality, comfortable fabrics in gorgeous colours – browns, yellows and blues. We have seen lots of rock (drums, guitars). Retro colours and patterns are IN. Bunnies are OUT (sorry Mr Easter Bunny!). Classic styles are strong this season for the staple items such as jackets, jeans and knitwear. Expect to see these in classic colours – black, red, grey and navy. As always a well dressed lad oozing individual style always hits the mark. Rug up in style this season boys!

Hatley: A fun brand featuring cool prints of tractors, dinosaurs, bears and skulls…amongst other boyish things! Jackets, gumboots, umbrellas and pj’s are all done beautifully by this popular Canadian brand.
La Queue du Chat: A French label with sweet little pieces in muted colours. Scarves, hats, bodysuits, leggings, jumpers. All gorgeous.

Toy Storage & Seating with an Ikea Expedit Bookcase

This is one that I may have to recreate myself. Loving the colour combinations and the wallpaper is soooo effective!

Basically it is two Ikea Expedit Bookcases ($89) turned on their side with baskets from Target. Not only has it created great toy storage but add some cushions and it is great seating for kids at the right height for little legs. If you are wondering about the lightshade, it is from Ikea also ($249).

Easiest Playdough EVER!

I have tried countless times to make my own playdough and the last time I did, I decided that it would be the LAST! I recently discovered doh magic and I have to say it is easier to make than it is to bake a packet cake, without the mess! From packet to play you can make it in 15 minutes and it is just as good (if not better) than brought playdough.

Animal Jars

You can never have enough containers, jars or boxes for kids bits and bobs and these animal jars are simple to make. Use an old jam jar (or pick one up from spotlight) and glue one of their old plastic toys on top (animals, army men, lego). Spray paint and let dry. Easy peasy!

Clear your diary and head on over to Ikea. I just checked and the Ikea Spice Rack is $6.95! Made of solid birch. Can be sanded and treated. Obviously you can paint it a different colour. Dimensions are: 40cm W x 9cm H x 10cm D. Don’t bother trying to make it! Here is what it looks like direct from the shop….
